Jacob N. Simon graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, where he was a member of the Marching Band, the Economics honors society, and the Political Science honors society.
Mr. Simon attends the Michigan State University College of Law, where he has been a Dean’s List Scholar every semester, and obtained Jurisprudence Excellence Awards in Matrimonial Practice and Client Counseling & Interviewing.
Before joining Bank Rifkin, Mr. Simon served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Daniel V. Zemaitis of the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Michigan, Family Division. He has also completed all of the requirements to serve as a court rostered domestic relations mediator with domestic violence training pursuant to Michigan Court Rule 3.216.
Mr. Simon took first place awards at the International Alternative Dispute Resolution’s Mediation Competition, as well as the American Bar Association Law Student Division’s Negotiation Competition. Mr. Simon’s other interests include writing for the Michigan State University International Law Review, competing with the Moot Court Appellate Team, serving as the President of the Jewish Legal Society, and serving as the Finance Director of the Student Bar Association.
Mr. Simon has lived in the greater Birmingham/Bloomfield area his whole life. In his free time, Mr. Simon enjoys sailing, skiing, tennis, and running.
